Hidden Genius Literacy Assessment

For families tired of guessing. The assessment identifies points of confusion so persistent challenges begin to make sense—without shame, blame, or reducing the learner to a label.

Clarity without shame

The Hidden Genius Literacy Assessment identifies points of confusion so that persistent challenges begin to make sense. It explores foundational alphabet and literacy patterns, helps connect visible symptoms to possible underlying confusion, identifies strengths as well as difficulty, and gives the family a practical direction. It identifies and helps the family directly address foundational patterns—not every gap at once, and not a clinical diagnosis where one is needed elsewhere.

Who it is for

  • Parents who want clarity before committing to a longer program
  • Families seeing writing, spelling, or reading friction despite other supports
  • Children who are bright but exhausted by schoolwork
  • Families deciding between assessment, whole-family program, or retreat

What the assessment examines

The assessment looks at foundational literacy patterns that may be influencing daily learning—not just grade-level performance on a single day.

  • Letters, sounds, sequence, and written language
  • Written output and formation
  • Confidence, frustration, and avoidance
  • Connections among reading, writing, spelling, focus, and learning confidence
  • Strengths as well as points of confusion

The 5-day process

  1. Days 1–3

Short guided activities and a targeted assessment form

Short daily child activities (about 5 minutes each) plus completion of a targeted assessment form (about 10–15 minutes) set up the review of foundational stability.

  2. Day 4

    Personalized findings and Ability Profiles

You receive personalized findings in clear, non-technical language that help connect what you see at home and at school. You also complete simple Ability Profiles that highlight the most important areas for support.

  3. Day 5

Live family debrief, questions, and next-step discussion

A guided conversation to understand results, ask questions, and discuss sensible next steps for your family.

Assessment questions

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No diagnosis is required. Many families come with concerns about writing, spelling, reading, focus, or confidence — with or without an existing label. Our assessment clarifies foundational patterns; it does not replace formal evaluation when you need one for school or medical purposes.
